I welcome you to the website of Faculty of Environmental Design and Management of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. The faculty is one of the new faculties recently created by the University. It currently has two departments that are on ground, viz. Department of Urban and Regional Planning (currently running postgraduate programmes, while the undergraduate programme has been approved by Senate and is in the process of approval by the NUC) and Department of Architecture (running undergraduate programme). The vision of the faculty (in addition to the Mission and Vision of the University of Ibadan) is to be the flagship of faculties in the built environment. The success story of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning since 1984 is a testimony to the high aspirations of the faculty. The Department of Urban and Regional Planning has turned out very high level professionals and academics that are in top positions in various institutions and establishments within and outside the country. The location of the main building of the faculty at the Ajibode Extension of the University is to provide spacious and serene environment for students and academics to function optimally. There is great opportunity for students to develop their full potentials in the face of the existing cordial collaborations between staff of the departments in the faculty and with other allied/cognate faculties.
